I’m Elias A. Lozada, a New York based designer and creative director specializing in apparel design, graphic design, brand development, and product creation.
My creative journey started long before I considered design a career. In high school, I began reworking clothing and experimenting with garments in different ways to make something feel uniquely my own. During college, that curiosity continued to grow. Sketches in notebooks became logos, clothing concepts, and eventually my first collection of hats, released in 2016.
At the time, a friend from church helped bring my ideas to life digitally through graphic design. When he later left to join the Army, I found myself at a crossroads. I could find someone else to execute my vision or learn how to do it myself.
I chose to learn.
What began with teaching myself quickly developed into a much larger creative discipline. Over the years, I have built experience across streetwear, contemporary fashion, branding, creative direction, technical design, and production, working with multiple brands while continuing to develop my own creative identity through FLY AS ELI.
Today, my work goes far beyond creating a graphic. I have developed an understanding of the full design and development process, allowing me to take an idea from its earliest concept through to a finished product. That process often includes trend and market research, concept development, storytelling, collection planning, color and material direction, garment graphics, CADs, technical development, sampling, production details, and communication with manufacturers.
That experience has shaped the way I think as both a designer and creative director. I am always considering not only how something looks, but how it is made, how it fits within a larger collection, and how each detail contributes to the identity of a project.
For me, design has always been about evolution. Every project becomes an opportunity to learn something new, sharpen my perspective, and create beyond what I thought was possible. I choose to keep pushing forward, keep evolving, and continue raising the standard for myself so I can
Fly Above Expectations.
This journey has taught me that you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. You just have to be willing to learn, keep creating, and trust that every step forward is building toward something greater than you imagined.
